Man is selling piece of the Titanic for eye-watering amount

The rusty piece of metal is a remnant of one of the most tragic events in history

It was recovered as part of a huge operation to bring parts of Titanic back to the surface

Each trip to rescue pieces of the ship costs over $1 million, making them some of the most valuable remnants of 20th Century history

It’s not often that pieces from Titanic come up for sale.

When they do, they command mega money.

This piece of rusty metal is the perfect example.

It may not look much, but it’s actually a piece of metal from the hull of Titanic.

Naturally, you’d think it’s from the side of the ship that struck the iceberg causing the unsinkable ship to sink.

However, it’s from the opposite side of the ship and it was recovered during a large operation.

Multiple submarines dove down to retrieve a 20-ton part of the sunken ship.

During the operation, small pieces of metal broke off and they were subsequently kept as samples.

One of those samples landed in the hands of a British man who owns an antique shop.

Pawn Stars expert, Rick Harrison, visited the UK to film the 23rd season of the world-famous reality series.

During his visit, he paid the antique shop a visit and the small piece of wreckage from Titanic caught his eye.
