Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell have re-emerged in Australia just weeks out from their rom-com premiere. Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell have been spotted back in Australia doing reshoots for their upcoming movie just six weeks out from its premiere.
The A-list duo, who star in Sony Pictures’ Anyone But You, rushed to Sydney from the US last week to do some last-minute shooting when the actor’s strike finally came to an end on Thursday after 118 days.
Director Will Gluck shared a photo to his Instagram page of Powell, 34, and Sweeney, 26, enjoying a coffee in the city on Monday, in which the pair could be seen cuddling up together. Sweeney, who first arrived in Australia in March to begin shooting the raunchy flick, was seen filming a scene in Bondi on Friday morning – just hours after the SAG-AFTRA strike officially ended. The Euphoria star was wearing the same pink gown she wore in scenes shot earlier this year at Circular Quay.
Photos of Sweeney and Powell at the time made global headlines, and kicked off swirling rumours the duo had struck up a romantic connection off-screen. Sony Pictures released a first look teaser trailer in mid-October.
The movie tells the story of Bea (Sweeney) and Ben (Powell) – whose initial attraction for one another descends into resentment after “something happens that turns their fiery hot attraction ice cold.”
The warring pair then find themselves both attending the same destination wedding in Australia, where they hatch a plan to pretend to be a couple.
It also stars My Best Friend’s Wedding actor Dermot Mulroney, Australian actress Rachel Griffiths and Barbie star Alexandra Shipp.
