Denise Richards has sparked controversy by suggesting another collaboration with her daughter on OnlyFans. She joined the platform last year, following her 19-year-old daughter Sami Sheen, whom she shares with her ex-husband, Two and a Half Men star Charlie Sheen. When discussing her decision to join the platform, Richards mentioned to KTLA, "I had heard of OnlyFans but I wasn’t educated on what OnlyFans was, and once I started to learn about it, I really think that the creators of the site really took the best of every platform of social media and put it into one site."
She inquired with her daughter Sami if it felt 'a little odd' that she was also joining the platform. However, Sami pointed out that they both use Instagram, so she didn't mind.
Given their supportive stance on each other's OnlyFans ventures, Richards recently posted on her page (where she charges a $25 monthly subscription fee), asking if people were interested in another collaboration with Sami. They had previously teamed up on the site in 2022. The 52-year-old wrote, "Should my mini me @samisheen and I do another collab?"
A screenshot of her post was shared on Reddit, prompting people to express their opinions on Richards' suggestion, with many finding it 'creepy'.
"This is incredibly creepy, weird, inappropriate, and so many other things," one person commented.
"Okay, that is really weird," someone else chimed in.
"The term 'mini me' carries inappropriate undertones in this context. Denise, you should do better," a third person urged.
"Even though we know it won't involve anything questionable, the implication alone is enough to make me feel uneasy," another person added.
Some also raised questions about the actual nature of the content that Richards and her daughter would be creating. "Does anyone have any idea what they're actually doing on OF?" a Redditor inquired.
"I just can't imagine they're posting explicit photos together or engaging in explicit activities.
"I feel like there must be some context I'm missing, or maybe I'm just that naive."
After both Richards and Sheen joined OnlyFans last year, Charlie Sheen, the 19-year-old's father, publicly expressed his disapproval of their daughter's decision to join the platform.
"She is 18 years old now and living with her mother. This did not happen under my roof," he told Page Six at the time.
"I do not approve of this, but since I can't prevent it, I encouraged her to keep it tasteful, creative, and not compromise her integrity."
