Kailia Posey, one of the stars of the hit reality show Toddlers & Tiaras, has died. She was just 16 years old.
"I don't have words or any thoughts," she wrote. "A beautiful baby girl is gone. Please give us privacy as we mourn the loss of Kailia. My baby forever".
How the young reality star died has not yet been confirmed. It seems there may have been some kind of accident in Las Vegas, where her mother lives. Page Six reported she was possibly killed in a car accident.
Kailia rose quickly to fame while on TLC's Toddlers & Tiaras, a show about child beauty pageants that ran from 2009 to 2013. But everyone, even those who were not fans of the show, came to know Kailia's face when she became a popular meme.
The little girl was caught on camera with a hilarious grin on her face. The image became a classic meme that has been regularly shared for years.
Kailia continued to compete in pageants, too, over the years. Most recently, she competed in Miss Washington Teen USA in February 2022. Last year, she was crowned the winner of Miss Lynden Teen USA.
Kailia seemed to have many other interests aside from pageantry. She performed contortion with Cirque du Soleil and appeared in a Netflix film called Eli in 2018.
Kailia planned on becoming a commercial pilot after she finished high school.
