The pool stages are done, and now we’re into the Rugby World Cup quarter finals The Rugby World Cup quarter finals are here, and we’ve got you covered for all the big moments and talking points.
We know the identity of three of the semi finalists – New Zealand, Argentina and England. Los Pumas stormed past Wales in the first quarter final, winning 29-17 in Marseille, before the All Blacks broke Irish hearts in Paris with a 28-24 win.

Then on Sunday, England beat Fiji in a thrilling 30-24 win in Marseille to become the first northern hemisphere side to make the last four at this year’s tournament.

Later, France face off against South Africa to complete the semi final lineup.

SEMI FINAL LINEUP COMPLETE

Without a doubt, that's the best set of World Cup quarter finals we've ever seen. Two games that could have been finals, outstanding fans, brilliant comebacks - but in the end it's four familiar faces that have made the last four.

The semi finals then. On Friday, New Zealand will take on Argentina at the Stade de France. Then, on Saturday it will be a repeat of the 2007 and 2019 finals when South Africa take on England.

SOUTH AFRICA KNOCK OUT THE HOSTS

South Africa have done it! They've knocked out France in their own backyard, beating them in an all-time classic. It's the Boks who will face England in the semi-finals in Paris on Saturday. An incredible game, and more northern hemisphere heartache.

A Ramos penalty takes France to within one point, and it is impossible to call this one.

ETZEBETH STORMS OVER FOR THE BOKS

South Africa have stormed back into this game and a huge carry from Etzebeth sees them into a one point lead.

FRANCE EXTEND LEAD

Points have been harder to come by in the second half compared to the first, but the intensity is still there. After long spells of French pressure, the South Africans eventually give up a penalty and Les Bleus now lead by six.

FRANCE AHEAD AT THE BREAK

France have nudged themselves ahead at half time through a penalty after a high tackle from Eben Etzebeth. The forward has been sin binned for the tackle with the card under review.

The half-time score is 22-19 to France, and quite simply that is probably the best half of rugby the World Cup has ever seen.

CYRIL BAILLE ON A HAT-TRICK

Six - yes, SIX - tries in the half an hour and prop Cyril Baille has two. It's 19-19 in Paris!

SOUTH AFRICA CROSS AGAIN

The action isn't letting up and there is no time for anyone to catch their breath! Now South Africa lead again after Cheslin Kolbe gets on to the end of a pinpoint kick.
