Woman refuses infected tooth removal to stay identical to twin: 'I'll live with the pain'

A woman who makes up one-half of the world's "most identical twins" has spoken out about the extreme lengths she'd go to in order to remain exactly the same as her sister.

Lucy and Anna DeCinque have garnered fame ever since their show Extreme Sisters premiered on TLC.

The pair have previously been open about their special connection, stating that they "think [they're] one person," so much so that it's reflected in both their personalities and their appearances.
But maybe not for too long.

In a recent episode of their hit show, Lucy begged her dentist to pull out her tooth after her sister was having problems with one of her molars.
"If Anna takes out the tooth, I might have to take out my tooth here, a healthy molar," Lucy told her dentist in the episode.

Despite their pleas, the dentist refused to pull out a healthy tooth, which left Anna with no other option but to bear the pain of it decaying in the back of her mouth.

"A tooth for a tooth," the twins later went on to say, before adding: "That’s all we want, [to experience] it together.

"The dentist really wants to take my tooth out," said Anna during another confessional. "This is going to separate us and not make us the same and I don't wanna do that."

The pair later explained the situation to their boyfriend Ben Byrne, who seemingly sympathized with the girls, cradling them in his arms after they got the unfortunate news.

"We've had a really tough day," they told their shared partner. "You know how I said I was going to the dentist? Yeah, he said it's not looking too good."

"So what are the options?" Ben asked.

"Take it out or antibiotics," they responded.

However, later on, the twins confirmed that Anna would not be taking her tooth out and instead she would just "look after it" and "live with the pain."

After sharing a few giggles with Ben, both Anna and Lucy praised Ben for "accepting them for who they are."

Ben met the twins over a decade ago when the they connected with him on Facebook.

Ben, who himself is a twin, engaged in conversations with both sisters individually for about six months before proposing that he take them both out on a date together.

"Sharing a boyfriend for us means we get to be together all the time," Anna shared during a different episode on the show.

"Having separate boyfriends just didn’t work, they just wanted to separate us," Lucy added.

"There’s no jealousy in this relationship. If Ben kisses Anna, he’ll kiss me straight after," she continued, underlining the depth of understanding between them.

They even went as far as discussing the details of their intimate life.

"Ben in his own way will please both of us. If Ben does something to one twin in the bedroom, he has to do it to the other."

When asked about their future and the prospect of motherhood, they told the hosts of British talk show This Morning that they would continue this set up even when they have children.

"As long as the child is happy and healthy, that’s all that matters," they emphasized. "We’ll both be the mums, Ben would be the dad, so they would have two moms and one father."
