The DNA is strong in the McConaughey family. Actor Matthew McConaughey and wife Camila Alves recently made a rare appearance with their oldest son, Levi, as the trio attended the annual Mack, Jack & McConaughey Gala. The handsome 14-year-old is the spitting image of his famous father.
According to Us Weekly, Matthew, Camila, and Levi attended the event together on Thursday in Austin, Texas. They were dressed to the nines for the occasion, with Camila rocking a fabulous yellow dress, matching cape, and unique palm leaf heels.
Matthew and Levi went a little more casual, with the elder McConaughey wearing a baby blue suit while his son rocked a white button-down shirt, dark pants, and a pair of white sneakers.
The couple, who have been married since 2012 and have two other kids in addition to Levi — 13-year-old daughter Vida and 10-year-old son Livingston — like to keep a low profile when it comes to their family life. In fact, Matthew almost never posts about his kids on social media and rarely takes them along with him to events.
Levi tagged along to the fall/winter 2023/24 presentation by Stella McCartney earlier this year, and fans couldn't stop talking about how much he resembles his famous father, thanks to his curly, sun-bleached locks. It looks like Levi got the best of both his parents' genes and inherited his model mother's photogenic nature as well.
The teen came out for a good cause
It sounds like Levi had an important reason for stepping into the spotlight. The charity gala helps raise money for children's education, health, and wellness. Matthew opened up about the organization's work while talking to Fox 7 Austin, saying that he got a chance to speak with some of the students who benefit from the programs it funds and was told that the kids love having a safe place to go after school.
"So, simple things that these kids are getting that is helping them make choices where they can prevent getting in trouble before they need a cure later in life. That's what excites me about [this cause]," he explained at the time.
We hope we'll be seeing more of Levi
It's possible that he could follow in either of his famous parent's footsteps, so there's no telling exactly what the future has in store for him. One thing we can guess, based on his decision to tag along with his mom and dad, is that he has a soft spot when it comes to charity work. Honestly, we wouldn't expect anything less from this family!
