Dad & Daughter Recreate High School Grad Photo — But People Are Only Focused On 1 Thing

Two side-by-side photos taken 18 years apart are capturing hearts across Twitter this week — and with good reason. The first shows Texas dad Dennis Roach back in May 2000, holding his infant daughter and giving her a big ol' kiss on the face just moments after he graduated from high school.
In the second, Dennis is holding that same daughter in his arms on her graduation day at the same high school — in May 2018. (Aaaaaand cue the awwws.)

Though Tori Roach, graduated in 2018, she uploaded the photo to Twitter a year later, and it promptly went viral.

"18 years later," she captioned the photo, which has racked up 150k likes (and counting).

"Ugh, this is just the sweetest," tweeted one user.

"One of the best pictures I have seen," added another. "I wish you and your family the best of luck."

Of course, plenty of others couldn't resist the urge to comment on the fact that Tori's dad doesn't seem to have aged one bit in the last two decades.

"How old is your father," asked one person. "He looks ageless."

"Damn your daddy fine," quipped another.

And at least one nosey Twitter user asked point-blank: "Looking for a stepmom?"

For the record, she's not — her dad's actually off the market. (Damn.)

Tori says her dad is married to her stepmom Jamie. (So everyone lusting after him on Twitter can slow their roll!) But he appreciates the accolades.

“I woke up and I had a ton of notifications," Tori told People. "People had started sharing and liking and commenting all over again. My dad was really proud. We’re from a small town, so nothing like this really ever happens. And he was like, ‘That’s so cool!'"

Both Tori and her dad donned nearly identical cap and gowns when they each graduated from Hunstville High School in Huntsville, Texas.

But it's fair to say her dad could only imagine the woman his daughter would one day become when he first accepted his diploma back in 2000.

Now, he sees it firsthand. Tori's just wrapping up her freshman year at Sam Houston University in Houston. When she's not away at school, she lives with her dad, Jamie, and new baby brother, Silas.
