Cause of death revealed for Sandra Bullock's longtime partner Bryan Randall

The reason behind the demise of Bryan Randall, Sandra Bullock's partner of many years, has come to light subsequent to the sad announcement of his passing at the age of 57.
Bullock and Randall crossed paths in January 2015 when the photographer teamed up with the actress on a project to celebrate her son's birthday.

Although they mostly maintained a discreet stance about their relationship during this period, they did acknowledge their official status as a couple following their attendance at Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux's wedding a year afterward.

Then in 2018, we saw them both attend the Oceans 8 World Premiere together in New York City, where they were snapped by paparazzi spending lots of quality time together.
The 59-year-old actress seldom delved into her relationship with Randall, although she did share her thoughts on the prospect of marrying him after nearly a decade together.

"I don't necessarily suggest emulating my choices, but for me, a legal document isn't necessary to be a committed partner or a dedicated mother," she expressed to the hosts of Red Table Talk. "I don't require instructions to navigate challenges with a good man."

"We are parents to two wonderful children — correction, three children, including his elder daughter. It's an incredible blessing," she remarked.

She also recounted the instance when she brought up the Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) from their initial meeting.

"I reminded him about the NDA he signed when he photographed my son. I told him, 'That agreement still stands.'"

"He inquired, 'Why?' To which I replied, 'Because I'm bringing a child home when I return from Toronto.' Then, I commended him as a 'saint' for his role in raising my kids."

Furthermore, Bullock revealed her partner's apprehension about her life under the spotlight.

"He was so happy, but he was scared. I'm a bulldozer. My life was already on the track, and here's this beautiful human being who doesn't want anything to do with my life but the right human being to be there," she continued.
A statement released through PEOPLE Magazine by his family conveyed their sorrow upon receiving the news, along with revealing the cause of his passing.

"With deep sadness, we inform you that on August 5th, Bryan Randall peacefully departed after a three-year struggle with [Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis]," his family shared. "Bryan decided early on to keep his journey with ALS private, and those who cared for him did their utmost to respect his wish."

"We extend profound gratitude to the dedicated physicians who navigated the complexities of this illness alongside us, and to the remarkable nurses who became an integral part of our lives, often putting aside their own families to be by our side," his family added.

"At this moment, we request privacy to mourn and to grapple with the heart-wrenching reality of bidding farewell to Bryan," concluded the statement, signed as "His Devoted Family."

As per information from the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease, is "an uncommon neurological disorder affecting motor neurons—the nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord that oversee voluntary muscle movements. Voluntary muscles are those that we consciously control to perform actions like chewing, walking, and speaking."

During this time, our thoughts and condolences are directed towards Randall's loved ones and friends.
