Britney Spears and Sam Asghari's rumored divorce has taken an ugly turn. According to reports, the 29-year-old actor legally filed for divorce from the 41-year-old singer on August 16, 2023. In the petition, TMZ reports he listed the date of separation as July 28, 2023, and listed irreconcilable differences as the reason. The two were only married for 14 months.
Now, a source told Page Six that Sam is threatening to expose some "embarrassing information" about the "Baby One More Time" singer if she doesn't pay him more than what their prenup outlined. A source revealed that he is “attempting to negotiate concessions beyond his prenup and threatening to go public with "extraordinarily embarrassing information about Britney unless he gets paid.”
But according to the source, Britney's team is working hard to protect her and make sure that the separation is respectful. "It’s blackmail and it’ll never happen," the source added.
