American brings suitcase full of Diet Coke on holiday thinking Europe doesn't sell it

There are some things that just aren't the same in other countries.
For Brits, perhaps the most obvious one is the struggle of trying to find a decent cup of tea while travelling in Europe.

They always seem to have every variety of tea on the planet, herbal, fruit, green, rooibos, or Earl Grey, but there is usually never any English Breakfast.

However, one US influencer has raised eyebrows after bringing a rather unusual home comfort along with her on a trip - and a large amount of it too.

Real Housewives star Jill Zarin revealed that she had brought an entire suitcase with her just full of Diet Coke - which she said was enough to last for 'two weeks'.

In the TikTok video posted by her daughter, Ally Shaprio, the reality star claimed it was because in Europe, there is no Diet Coke, only Coke Zero or Coke Light, which she says 'sucks'.

Sorry to any fans of Coke Zero.

Speaking to the camera, she said: "So I've snuggled my Diet Coke from the United States because they don’t sell it in Europe.

"They only have Coke Light and Coke Zero and it sucks."
The video's caption, which was written by her daughter, said: "Any other Diet Coke girlies travel with an entire suitcase of Diet Coke? Luckily it made it safely!"

Needless to say, many people took to the comments on the video to explain that in fact, Diet Coke very much is a thing here in Europe.

One person wrote: "What's happening here? Who is behind this misinformation campaign telling people that we don't have these things over here?

"Because whoever you are, keep it up, this s**t is funny."

"All EU has diet coke and coke zero." someone else commented.

And a third said: "never heard of coke light in my life we have diet coke."

While others wanted to point out the sheer volume of cans in the case, as one viewer replied: "Everyone arguing over coke light vs Diet Coke but why is nobody concerned by the unhinged behaviour of bringing a suitcase full of DC?!"

However, Shaprio explained that it's a bit difficult to find Diet Coke where they were going.
Replying to one person's comment about the amount of Diet Coke cans consumed in England, she said: "Where we are going in Italy, Greece, Croatia it’s very hard to find Diet Coke!

"And just this cruise we knew didn’t have at all."

Interestingly, Europe does have one of the few countries in the world where Coca-Cola is not the most popular soft drink.

That is of course Scotland, where Irn Bru remains supreme.

No surprise there.
