Margot Robbie was a massive Harry Potter fan before discovering her husband was in it

Margot Robbie might just be the biggest Harry Potter fan of all time.

The actress, 25, stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! Tuesday, where she revealed that she was a "massive Harry Potter fan" growing up – and she wasn't kidding.

Robbie was talking about how excited she was to work with director David Yates on her upcoming film The Legend of Tarzan because he also directed a handful of the Harry Potter films. To drive home the point, Kimmel said that one of her friends sent in a photo from her teen years that proves her love for the Wizarding World.

"Literally the most embarrassing photo of my entire life," Robbie said with a laugh when a shot popped up showing her reading a Harry Potter book while donning round-framed glasses and sipping tea.

The actress explained that the shot was taken on her 13th birthday.

"I'm drinking a cup of tea. I'm in bed. I'm clearly really enjoying myself, reading Harry Potter," she explained. "I have braces, which I had for two years. I was really into slicking my hair back – God knows why – and I'm wearing glasses, which I didn't actually need. I have 20/20 vision and I lied to get glasses so I could look like Harry Potter. They're not even cool ones. They're, like, ugly glasses."

Robbie previously told PEOPLE that if she could go back in time, she wouldn't have lied to the optometrist just to look more like Harry Potter.

"I'd tell myself, 'Don't wear those ugly glasses,' " she said. " 'It's ridiculous and you look disgusting!' "

And while Robbie's 13th birthday was clearly a success, she said she plans to spend her upcoming birthday a bit differently. The actress will celebrate her 26th birthday on July 2 – but it won't be Harry Potter-themed.

"We're going to have a little Hawaiian luau, because why the hell not?" Robbie told Kimmel. "We're going to go all out – coconut bras and grass skirts for the boys."
